Alistair Scott

I’ve been in the ICT industry for almost 20 years, having spent almost my entire career working for Internet Solutions (IS) in South Africa, a division of Dimension Data (part of the NTT Group). At IS (DD) I performed numerous roles, chiefly in the Cloud Business Unit, where I gained invaluable experience in the cloud computing and data centre market. With my commercial and managerial background, I’m motivated by the efficiencies that data centres can create for businesses – and that’s why I started Think Data Centre.

Heath Andersen

I’m a mechanical engineer and data centre project director and design manager.  I lead teams, develop designs and supervise data centre construction. My strength and passion is in strategically developing and managing data centre design, from feasibility through to operations. I work with data centre operators, enterprise clients, property developers, private equity firms and consulting teams.

My clients include colocation, on-premise and hyper scale data centre operators across Africa. I have over 20 years’ consulting experience in Australia, the UK, the Middle East and South Africa.

Tim Souter

I’m a private equity partner and investment professional with substantial experience in digital infrastructure businesses in Africa.

As an investment partner at Ethos Private Equity, I was responsible for ICT investment strategies, covering digital infrastructure and ICT services. During my nine years there, I executed investments in Eaton Towers – the continent’s first successfully monetised tower business – and Echo, an asset-light, corporate ISP. I drove an acquisition strategy that saw Echo expand its footprint from South Africa into nine African countries.

I’ve evaluated many businesses in the data centre and fibre sectors and served on Macquarie Capital’s EMEA TMT advisory team in Johannesburg, South Africa and Chicago, USA.
